Record fine for Maroc Telecom
Record fine for Maroc Telecom
The Casablanca Commercial Court of Appeal has confirmed the conviction of Morocco Telecom for abuse of dominant position. The historic operator will have to pay compensation of 6.4 billion dirhams to its competitor Wana Corporate, formerly Inwi.
This decision, which follows an initial judgment by the Rabat Commercial Court last January, is now enforceable. Wana Corporate can therefore initiate proceedings to force Maroc Telecom to pay this huge sum.
