Record broken: Operation Marhaba (MRE) reaches unprecedented figures

Operation Marhaba, marking the return to Morocco of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) during the summer, exceeded all expectations this year. A total of 3.4 million MREs and more than 847,000 vehicles traveled between Spain and Morocco between June 13 and September 15.

According to data from the Spanish Interior Ministry, 3,442,770 MREs, 6.9% more than in 2023, and 847,429 vehicles, an increase of 9.3%, traveled from Spain to Morocco and vice versa, between June 13 and September 15, as part of Operation Marhaba 2024.
