In Tangier, the granting by local authorities of building permits for residential buildings near waterways and rivers has raised concerns among real estate experts, citing the risk of cracks during periods of heavy rain.

The city of Tangier has issued a building permit to a real estate developer, after consulting the Loukkos Hydraulic Basin Agency (ABHL), to build a building consisting of two underground garages and 15 floors of offices, near a watercourse in the city, it is reported. Al3omkspecifying that the building to be constructed should extend from this area to the municipal beach of Tangier.
