In France, racist speech has been released before the first round of legislative elections scheduled for this Sunday. Teachers are expressing concerns about this rise in racism in schools.

Amina, an eco-management teacher in a vocational high school in Seine-et-Marne for twenty-four years, confirms this reality. The Franco-Moroccan is saddened to see her students making racist comments for several years. “This year, one of my students told me: ‘You’re not French, go home!’ It’s a speech that is becoming commonplace,” she confided to France Info. The teacher says she made the same observation among the teachers. “There are more and more colleagues who embrace the ideas of the National Front, such as national preference,” she assures.
