Rabat: return of fines for pedestrians

Rabat residents who do not respect pedestrian crossings on the roads now have cause for concern. They will be fined. The measure is causing a stir.

Several residents of the Moroccan capital were recently fined by the police for not respecting the pedestrian crossing, which constitutes a violation of the Highway Code. They were fined 25 dirhams for crossing the street without using the pedestrian crossing.
