Purchasing power: Moroccans suffer

The purchasing power of Moroccans has decreased in 2024 compared to last year, according to a study conducted by L’Économiste-Sunergia. The cause is galloping inflation which has forced the majority of Moroccans to review their consumption.

When asked whether their “purchasing power has improved or deteriorated this year compared to last year,” 49% of Moroccans surveyed said that their purchasing power had deteriorated this year, while 25% said that it had improved.
