Pools: Morocco imposes strict rules

Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of the Interior, assured that the Walis of the Regions and the Governors of the Prefectures and Provinces are educated for the purpose of ensuring the strict compliance with the measures aimed at rationing water, in particular the ban on the filling of the swimming pools private and public more than once a year.

Tourist, sports and leisure establishments and companies, as well as individuals, are not allowed to fill the swimming pools more than once a year, recalled Laftit, stressing that these establishments must necessarily have recycling and filtration systems water, “under penalty of coercive sanctions on the basis of minutes established by the competent authorities”.
