Poisoning on the rise in Morocco: what solutions?

The Moroccan Federation of Consumer Rights is concerned about the increase in cases of food poisoning recorded in some restaurants in recent weeks. It calls on the Minister of Health and Social Protection to update the laws relating to the management of collective and individual food poisoning.

Cases of food poisoning are increasing in Morocco, especially in Marrakech. The latest one caused six deaths in the red city. Faced with the worrying increase in food poisoning, the Moroccan Federation of Consumer Rights alerts the responsible authorities to take all necessary measures and arrangements to avoid these serious and fatal poisonings affecting citizens, particularly in the run-up to Morocco’s organization of continental and international events, not to mention the continued investments to attract tourists. It calls on the Minister of Health and Social Protection to update the laws relating to the management of collective and individual food poisoning.
