Plane tickets between France and Morocco will be more expensive

The probable increase in the prices of plane tickets between France and Morocco that would result from the decision of Michel Barnier’s government to increase the Solidarity Tax on Airline Tickets (TSBA) to raise revenue goes badly with the Union of French Airports (UAF) and the National Federation of Aviation and its Trades (FNAM).

After the SNPC, IATA, SCARA, Corsair, Air Caraibes & French bee and Air France-KLM, it is the turn of the Union des Aéroports Français (UAF) and the FNAM to denounce the increase in TSBA. During a lively press conference on Monday, the presidents of the UAF and the FNAM (National Federation of Aviation and its Trades) displayed their opposition to the tax measures envisaged for air transport and the airport sector in the draft finance law 2025. The tax measures envisaged (the increase in the TSBA or Solidarity Tax on Airline Tickets) decided by the government of Michel Barnier as part of the 2025 budget, were “decided without prior consultation and without any impact study,” they denounce. This comes from “the State’s budgetary emergencies alone”, which consist of “1 billion euros on air transport”, estimate the presidents of the two organizations.
