Pirate treasure resurfaces off the coast of Morocco

Wreck hunters have discovered the wreck of a 600-year-old pirate ship at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, between Spain and Morocco.

While searching for the remains of the HMS Sussex, an English warship lost in 1694, shipwreck hunters from Odyssey Marine Exploration, a company specializing in treasure hunting, have discovered the wreck of a 600-year-old pirate ship at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, between Spain and Morocco, reports Live Science. It is a small, heavily armed vessel of about 14 metres (45 ft) that carried cooking utensils and metal tools, probably to pass itself off as merchants and avoid attack. It is said to have sunk while en route to capture slaves on the Spanish coast.
