Pierre Manent and the Muslims: why the CFCM seizes the Arcom

The French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM) reacts to Shocking remarks made by French philosopher Pierre Manent on Muslims. The Muslim organization has also contacted the Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication (Arcom).

The CFCM is unhappy with Pierre Manent. At the origin of this discontent, the comments made by the French philosopher Thursday December 5, 2024 on Figaro TV as part of a program dedicated to secularism. “The pressure is such that we have to make decisions regarding the number of Muslims in Europe. It cannot grow at the current rate otherwise we will face tragedies that no version of secularism will be able to control,” he declared, raising a public outcry.
