Pesticides banned in the UK shipped to Morocco
The British subsidiary of the agrochemical company Syngenta has exported tonnes of pesticides banned in the United Kingdom to several countries, including Morocco, Ukraine and the Ivory Coast. This is what an investigation carried out by Greenpeace and the organization Public Eye reveals.
This export dates back to 2023. In total, nearly 400 tonnes of pesticides (thiamethoxam) were shipped to these countries. A quantity sufficient to cover an area larger than that of England, reveals the investigation by Greenpeace and Public Eye.
