Perpignan: an empty Moroccan truck… with 400 kilos of cannabis

Two men of Moroccan nationality were arrested on the A9 motorway in possession of a large quantity of cannabis. They were sentenced this Wednesday, January 29, 2025 to prison by the tribunal of Perpignan.
On November 3, 2024, the customs officials of the Pyrénées-Orientales carried out a road check at the Boulou toll barrier, on the A9 motorway, in the Spanish-France direction. Their attention was drawn to a road set registered in Morocco for the tractor and in France for the trailer. Aboard the vehicle were two individuals of Moroccan nationality.
