Panic wind among Canada Moroccans

Many Moroccans residing in Canada have expressed fears about the possible effects on their jobs in the decision of US President Donald Trump to impose customs duties that are up to 25 % on Canadian products exported to the United States.

Since the announcement of this decision on Saturday, the MRE of Canada have been worried. Some of them have confided to fear losing their jobs if this customs measure targeting Canadian products exported to the United States is applied. For a Moroccan activist residing in Canada interviewed by Hespress, “the decision of the American president aroused concerns among many Moroccans in Canada regarding the loss of their jobs in Canadian factories and companies exporting their products to the United States”. The MRE adds that “everyone is aware that the production and manufacture of Canadian products intended in the United States will considerably decrease after the entry into force of the decision”.
