Oussama Targhalline: “I cried almost every evening after training”

The Moroccan environment of Le Havre, Oussama Targhalline22 years old, talks about his pride in having won bronze with the Moroccan team at the Paris Games, the first Olympic medal for the Atlas Lions. “It’s a title that brought me a lot of pleasure and pride. With the Olympics, people know me and support me a little more. Obviously, it gives confidence and makes you want to work to get other titles like that,” the young player told Sofoot. And to add: “It’s the country’s first medal in team sports, so people were really happy to see us, to celebrate us. We did something historic. It doesn’t happen to everyone. Even if it’s every athlete’s dream, I honestly never imagined I’d be at the Olympics. It wasn’t planned.”
