On the beaches, prices ruin the holidays of MREs

Moroccan holidaymakers, particularly Moroccans living abroad (MRE), are struggling to enjoy this holiday period on the beaches. The reason is the exorbitant prices charged by restaurants, cafes and shops.

Grilled sardines for 100 dirhams, a glass of tea for 20 dirhams, parasol rental from 100 to 200 dirhams, phone top-up from 10 dirhams to 13 dirhams. Many holidaymakers, the majority of whom are MREs, complain about the soaring prices charged by cafes, restaurants and shops on Arekmane beach and the greed of their managers to the site Nadorville. According to them, this behavior tarnishes the image of Moroccan tourism and damages the reputation of the region as a tourist destination. They call on the authorities of Nador to stop the paralysis of the control committees and to mobilize them to save them from the ongoing exploitation in Arekmane.
