Olive oil in Morocco: fraud alert!

Fraudulent practices are increasing in certain Moroccan oil mills, causing concern among consumers and authorities. MP Jamal Diouani sounds the alarm and calls on the Minister of Agriculture.

According to testimonies, some producers would not hesitate to mix olive oil with other oils, or even to add chemicals to mask the deception. Even more serious, fresh olives would be mixed with old, poor quality oil to lower production costs.
