News for the Morocco-Spain tunnel
The Spanish Society for Studies of Fixed Communications across the Strait of Gibraltar (SECEGSA) is preparing to launch a seismotectonic research campaign to accelerate studies within the framework of the tunnel project that will connect Spain and Morocco under the Strait of Gibraltar.
To carry out this research, SECEGSA will launch a call for tenders worth 487,872 euros for the rental or acquisition of four ocean bottom seismometers (OBS, Ocean Bottom Seismometer) for the Capitan de Navío Manuel Catalán Morollón campaign. The development of these devices will be carried out by the Geophysics Section of the Spanish Royal Army Observatory (ROA) for six months.
