New Turkish offensive in Morocco

Around forty Turkish entrepreneurs from the furniture sector are carrying out a trade mission to Morocco from October 7 to 11. Objective, to strengthen their partnerships with their Moroccan counterparts and increase their market share in the kingdom.

A total of 36 business leaders representing 22 Turkish companies in the furniture sector are participating in this mission to Morocco. Their objective is to increase their market share in Morocco from 15% to 25% and try to dethrone China, the kingdom’s leading furniture exporter. According to the president of the Association of Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters, Ali Fuat Gürle, the share of Turkish furniture imported to Morocco has increased by more than 100% in five years, from 52 million of dollars in 2019 to 105 million dollars in 2024.
