New rules for applying for a Schengen visa in Morocco
Since January 11, new rules apply to the Italian visa application process at Italian consulates in Morocco and other countries. Its neighbor, France, wants to follow suit.
On Saturday, the Italian authorities announced the implementation of new procedures for visa applications, regardless of the nature of the planned stay: studies, work, family reunification or other. Any visa applicant for Italy must now provide their fingerprints during a prior appointment at the country’s consulates general, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. These fingerprints will then be kept for a period of five years. A period during which applicants will be exempt from providing their biometric data with each visa application.
