The Spanish Company for Studies for Fixed Communications across the Strait of Gibraltar (SECEGSA) signed on November 6 with the company TEKPAM Ingenieria based in Madrid, the rental contract with an option to purchase four seabed seismometers in with a view to carrying out studies in the Strait of Gibraltar, as part of the tunnel project to link Spain and Morocco.
SECEGSA approved this contract worth approximately 500,000 euros to acquire these seismometers which can be positioned at a depth of up to 6,000 meters. Seismotectonic studies in the Strait of Gibraltar are expected to last 6 to 24 months. The company TEKPAM Ingenieria, based in Madrid, the only one to submit an offer as part of this call for tenders, won this contract with a financial proposal of 486,420 euros, reports They led the people.
