Netherlands tries to ‘steal’ Moroccan nuggets
The Dutch Football Association appointed Moroccan Adil Ramzi as coach of the under-18 team at the beginning of July. A way of countering the Royal Moroccan Football Federation which managed to convince several dual-national talents to join the Atlas Lions’ den.
By appointing Adil Ramzi as head of the U-18s, the Dutch Football Association is seeking to prevent Morocco from recruiting more dual-national players. And its policy has clearly paid off. The Moroccan coach has called on four young talents of Moroccan origin to take part in the next training camp. They are Aymean el Hani from Ajax Amsterdam, Nassim El Harmouz from Feyenoord Rotterdam, Benjamin Khaderi and Sami Bouhoudane, playing for PSV Eindhoven.
