Naval Group could build a submarine for Morocco
France has won major contracts in Morocco, thanks to Emmanuel Macron’s recent state visit to Rabat. Naval Group could be awarded the construction of a submarine for the benefit of the Royal Moroccan Navy.
Naval Group could benefit from the restoration of diplomatic relations between Morocco and France. The French shipbuilder has a good chance of obtaining a contract to build a submarine for Morocco. The kingdom has been struggling for years to acquire this equipment which its Royal Navy lacks. Rumors had reported an order for a submarine by Morocco from Thyssen-Krupp Marine Systems (TKMS), world leader in the field, or from the Spanish Navantia. But this information has not been confirmed, reports the Manche Press.
