Murder of Firdaous in Antwerp: investigation accelerates

The Antwerp Federal Judicial Police (FJP) has arrested a new suspect in the investigation into the murder of Firdaous, the 11-year-old girl shot dead in January 2023 at her parents’ home in Merksem.

During a new search as part of the investigation into the murder of Firdaous, the Antwerp Federal Judicial Police (FJP) arrested Jorn B., a 28-year-old taxi driver from Rumst, last Friday. He is an acquaintance of Daniëlle R. de Putte, the 53-year-old woman already known to the police, arrested last February and imprisoned. The 50-year-old’s DNA was identified on one of the cartridge cases found near the Moroccan teenager’s house.
