MREs have shunned car rentals this year

Professionals in the car rental sector in Morocco are complaining about the low demand noted during this summer season compared to previous years.

“There has been no particular activity or dynamism in car rental services since last June,” complains to Hespress, a member of the Union of Owners of Car Rental Agencies in Morocco, noting “a low demand in the face of an abundant supply of cars (especially new cars) of different models and types.” Several factors have led to this situation, explains this professional, mentioning the delay in the arrival in Morocco of Moroccans residing abroad and the 25% increase in the prices of certain new models.
