MREs forced to leave Tarifa

A strong storm further disrupted maritime traffic between Spain and Morocco on Friday December 27. The port of Tarifa, an important crossing point for Moroccans living abroad, was therefore forced to suspend its connections with Tangier City.

The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow warning for the Strait of Gibraltar and the coast. Wind gusts of up to 80 km/h were expected, making navigation dangerous. The swell, also significant, further complicates the situation.
