MREs caught in the trap of fake rentals

On vacation in Morocco, Moroccans living abroad (MRE) have been victims of scams via brokers, and sometimes even companies that distribute misleading images of furnished apartments and equipped rooms like apartment hotels, rented at great expense.

Hundreds of holidaymakers – Moroccans and MREs – who chose to spend part of their summer holidays in the M’diq and Marina Smir region, have been victims of real estate scams. The rental of rooms in the Marina Beach region exceeds 2000 dirhams per night. Despite these scams, most of them do not file complaints with the competent authorities. They prefer to continue spending their holidays, reluctantly, in poor conditions to satisfy the desires of their children.
