MREs boost housing assistance program

Nearly 17,000 people (44% of whom are women and 22% are MREs) have already benefited from the direct housing assistance program as of July 15, Aziz Akhannouch, the Head of Government, told the House of Representatives.

The direct housing assistance program has about 17,000 beneficiaries as of July 15, Aziz Akhannouch said during the monthly oral question session on “urbanization and housing policy and its impact on economic dynamics and spatial and social development,” indicating that 84,500 applications have been registered on the dedicated platform. The housing acquired has a total value of 6.3 billion dirhams and state aid amounts to 1.3 billion dirhams, he said.
