MRE: ports overwhelmed this weekend?

In Sebta, new measures have been taken to better cope with the flow of traffic and to facilitate the return of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) by sea to their host countries.

A large flow of MREs and vehicles is expected this weekend. Based on these forecasts, Civil Protection and the Spanish authorities recommend planning in advance travel on the roads that converge mainly in Algeciras and, if possible, using alternative routes. MREs and other travelers are invited to remain attentive to any incidence and to follow the instructions of DGT officials at all times. They are also asked to present themselves with their ticket already purchased to facilitate the management of the ports. The General Directorate of Civil Protection has also reinforced the Special Plan for Operation Marhaba and activated the various provincial plans, in order to guarantee the greatest possible fluidity.
