MRE holidays ruined

In Al Hoceima, most tourist services in hotels, restaurants and cafes have seen a sharp increase, undermining the holidays of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) and locals during this summer period marked by the influx of tourists.

The price of “tacos” has almost doubled, going from 40 dirhams to 70 dirhams in some establishments, and that of a salad for one person from 35 dirhams to 60 dirhams. Some popular dishes have also seen a dizzying increase, worries the local site Nadorville. A dish of couscous for one person has doubled from 40 dirhams to 80 dirhams in some restaurants in the city center. The price of soft drinks has also increased. These prices far exceed those practiced in cities and tourist areas in other regions of Morocco and even in the same region.
