MRE: beware of car theft, Moroccan customs requires guarantees

Returning to the country can sometimes turn into a nightmare for Moroccans living abroad (MRE). Indeed, if their vehicle is stolen, they find themselves faced with a complex customs procedure.

The Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (ADII) includes in its guide intended for MREs the steps to follow in the event of car theft. Even if the vehicle has disappeared, the owner remains liable for import duties and taxes.
