Morocco: trapped, two gendarmes arrested for corruption
Two members of the royal gendarmerie were arrested on Friday in broad daylight in the province of Khemisset. They are accused of having received a bribe. One of them, a warrant officer, was caught in the act by a national team of the royal gendarmerie dispatched from Rabat.
It was following a report to the toll-free number dedicated to corruption cases that the two men, working in the Aït Ouribel area, were caught in the act. A trap set by the person at the origin of the denunciation made it possible to catch the two men. The latter were arrested while receiving 200 dirhams from the complainant.
