Morocco: towards an increase in taxi prices?

Moroccan taxi drivers are sounding the alarm. They are calling for a review of the prices, which they consider today to be unsuitable for the surge in fuel prices, and the suspension, last May, of exceptional aid granted to the road transport sector.

The National Taxi Coordination deplores the lack of serious and constructive dialogue with the government and the Ministry of the Interior to address the essential points of their demands. She calls all professionals to a national meeting on Thursday, December 26 in Casablanca. This will be an opportunity to discuss the many challenges and problems facing the sector. Among the main subjects discussed will be the liberalization of the taxi licensing sector, the management of which remains problematic.
