Morocco: speed bumps are the talk of the town
The Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, denounced the anarchic installation of speed bumps by citizens in urban areas, particularly in alleys and working-class neighborhoods.
36% of speed bumps or speed bumps in 70 prefectures and provinces were installed by citizens in an anarchic manner, revealed Laftit in his response to a written question from the MP of the Popular Movement, Fatima Kachouti, adding that “most of them are found in alleys and working-class neighborhoods, where residents place them in order to force drivers, particularly motorcyclists, to reduce their speed and thus reduce the number of road accidents.”
