Morocco: Spectacular fall of a drug trafficker wanted since 2016

Under national and international warrants, a drug lord on the run for eight years was finally caught two weeks ago in Morocco. According to investigators, the criminal managed to enter and exit the kingdom sixteen times before his arrest.

“Wanted since his escape from a Spanish prison eight years ago”, the drug lord “had managed to enter and leave the Kingdom no less than sixteen times, without being noticed”, relays Assabaspecifying that the fugitive managed to cross Moroccan border posts without being worried. According to investigators, this implies that the criminal held a “false passport which allowed him to keep his real identity secret”. But they were unable to confirm this hypothesis, the suspect having refused “to disclose the conditions thanks to which he was able to travel in complete peace of mind”.
