Morocco: several cities under water
Morocco: several cities under water
The surge of runoff water following heavy rains hitting several regions in southeastern Morocco has led to the interruption of traffic on many roads, particularly in the provinces of Tinghir and Ouarzazate.
Traffic on the national road number 10 linking Ouarzazate to Errachidia was completely blocked due to heavy rains that caused flooding in the commune of Souk Lakhmis Dadès, near Kelaat M’Gouna. Similarly, the national road number 9 between Marrakech and Ouarzazate was cut off due to heavy rains in the city center of Ouarzazate, as well as in the commune of Aït Zineb and the neighboring communes of the Tichka pass.
