Morocco seduces, Algeria disappoints: what the French think

The majority of French people have a good image of Morocco. On the other hand, Algeria’s prestige has plummeted.
Morocco benefits from a largely positive image with 68% of French people having a “good image” of the kingdom, followed by Tunisia (60%). This is what emerges from a survey highlighting contrasting opinions on the diplomatic and political issues which shape relations between France and the Maghreb, carried out by Ifop-Fiducial for Sud Radio. Algeria, on the other hand, is less popular than the other two Maghreb countries. Only 29% of French people have a “good image” of Algeria, a figure which remains low although slightly increasing compared to 2012 (26%).
