Morocco sanctions American PVC
Morocco sanctions American PVC
Since January 3, 2025, Morocco has applied a definitive anti-dumping duty on PVC imports from the United States. This follows a joint decree from the Ministries of Industry and Commerce and of Economy and Finance.
Morocco protects its local producers by applying a definitive anti-dumping duty of 24.88% on imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from the United States. Entering into force on January 3, 2025 for a period of 5 years, this measure is a response to dumping practices which have disrupted the market. It aims to maintain the competitiveness of national industry in the face of imports deemed abnormally cheap.
