Morocco risks losing a Belgian-Moroccan player

The young Genk midfielder, Zakaria El Ouahdileaves doubt about its international future. Despite his numerous caps with Morocco’s youth teams and an Olympic bronze medal around his neck, the 21-year-old does not rule out one day wearing the Belgium jersey.

Called up last September by Walid Regragui to join the Atlas Lions, El Ouahdi ultimately remained on the substitutes’ bench. A situation which could push him to reconsider his options, especially since Domenico Tedesco, the Belgian coach, has publicly expressed his interest in the young talent.
