Morocco puts on a show and beats Gabon (4-1)

Morocco made a spectacular start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers by dominating Gabon with a resounding 4-1 scoreline. From the kick-off, the Atlas Lions showed their teeth, determined to impose their game on the pitch at the Adrar stadium in Agadir.

Hakim Ziyech quickly opened the scoring from a penalty in the 9th minute. Despite a missed opportunity to equalize by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Morocco doubled the lead thanks to a second penalty converted by Ziyech.
