Morocco propels Africa into the world’s top 5 in aeronautics

Morocco is establishing itself on the international aeronautical scene. This was stated by Afaf Saidi, Director of Aeronautical, Railway, Naval and Renewable Energy Industries at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to her, the Kingdom is not only a major player in the sector on a global scale, but also the undisputed leader in Africa.

In two decades, Morocco has gone from novice status to that of the continent’s main exporter of aeronautical equipment. An industrial success which is based on concrete figures, she explains to the MAP. In 2023, the sector recorded growth of more than 3.8%. Export turnover reached 21.864 billion dirhams at the end of October 2024, an increase of 17.3% year-on-year.
