Morocco: obtaining a building permit will be more complicated

The wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia, and the Regional Investment Center of this same region are working in perfect synergy to implement new measures to be included in the building permit application procedures.

Real estate developers and real estate agencies are in the sights of Mohamed Mhidia, wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, and the Regional Investment Center of this same region. They will put in place a set of measures which will be included in the building permit application procedures. One of these measures is the presentation of documents attesting to the updated financial situation of the company, in particular with regard to its indebtedness to banks, as well as the precautionary and executory seizures recorded in its commercial registers. The real estate company requesting a building permit must declare its legal status and provide a certificate of tax regularization (Fiscal Discharge). Another measure: models of previously completed real estate projects must be submitted.
