Morocco: new buses throughout the country

The Ministry of the Interior announced the launch of a vast plan to modernize the urban transport sector in communities across the country. With a budget of 11 billion dirhams, this program promises to profoundly transform the bus networks and the infrastructure associated with them. The objective is to significantly improve citizens’ travel by offering them a quality service.

The project, which will run from 2025 to 2029, firstly provides for the renewal of the bus fleet. Brand new vehicles, equipped with the latest generation operating assistance and passenger information systems (SAEIV), will thus be acquired. The introduction of modern ticketing systems is also planned in order to facilitate and streamline access to transport.
