Morocco: MREs boost the real estate market

The direct housing assistance program is very successful among Moroccans living abroad (MRE). Some 21% of the requests registered on the digital platform “Daam Sakane” come from MREs, who also represent 23% of the beneficiaries.

The enthusiasm of Moroccans around the world for the direct housing assistance program has not weakened since its official launch last January. According to the latest official data, provided by the Ministry of National Land Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, Moroccans around the world represent 21% of applications and 23% of beneficiaries.
