The Taza Court of First Instance sentenced the president of the commune of Meknassa Acharqia to a three-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 3,000 dirhams for not providing an ambulance to urgently transport a sick child, which led to the minor’s death.
Prosecuted for “failure to assist a person in danger”, the president of the commune, a member of the Popular Movement party, was convicted of negligence in providing an ambulance to a family to urgently transport a sick child to hospital.
