Morocco imported more French wheat than Russian, a fact revealing the warming of relations between Rabat and Paris.
French soft wheat represented 54% of Morocco’s total needs for this vital product during the 2023/2024 season, indicates the report on compensation attached to the finance bill for the year 2025. With this high rate, France is the leading supplier of soft wheat to Morocco. It is ahead of other countries such as Germany, Russia and Romania, which together contribute around 32%. The remaining 14% come from other countries.
