Morocco is betting big on MRE investments
The government is working hard to attract investments from Moroccans living abroad (MRE). This was stated by Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate for Investment, during a question-and-answer session in the House of Representatives. Facing the deputies, he detailed the strategy put in place to encourage Moroccans around the world to invest their capital in the kingdom.
The first part of this plan is based on reinforced communication. Objective: better inform Moroccans living abroad of investment opportunities and tax advantages offered by the new Charter. “We are in permanent contact with thousands of Moroccan investors in more than 20 countries,” said the minister. Meetings are regularly organized during ministerial trips, as recently in Japan and Korea.
