Morocco has recovered 40 kilometers of “new Sahrawi territories liberated after November 13” 2020, where clashes had occurred between the Polisario militia and the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). A setback for the independence movement supported by Algeria.
On his Facebook page, the Sahrawi activist opposed to the Polisario Front, Saïd Zeroual, reported remarks that the representative of the independence movement to the United Nations, Mohamed Amar, allegedly made during a conference organized by the “Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs”. According to Zeroual, he declared that “it is not possible to end the ceasefire and that Morocco has recovered 40 kilometers of new Sahrawi territories liberated after November 13, 2020. These statements corroborate the information making state of “demoralization” within the Polisario in the face of the diplomatic and military defeats it suffered.
