Morocco: In Harhoura, angry motorists

The municipal council of Harhoura, a seaside resort attached to the prefecture of Skhirate-Témara, which welcomes many tourists every summer, imposes prohibitive parking rates for cars. Enough to provoke the anger of motorists.

Car owners must now pay to park in Harhoura. This was decided by the municipal council. It has created a pricing system for vehicles. Rates vary between 5 dirhams for less than an hour and 23 dirhams for 24 hours, with an additional 1 dirham for each additional hour. The monthly subscription has been set at 400 dirhams for daytime parking and 500 dirhams for nighttime parking.
