Morocco: hot weather alert

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange alert bulletin, forecasting a heat wave and violent winds accompanied by dust blowers in several regions of the country.

The mercury will record, this Saturday, between 28 and 33°C in the provinces of Sidi Bennour, Kénitra, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit , Benslimane, Berrechid, Essaouira, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, El Jadida and Safi. This heat wave is expected to persist until Monday.
